Little Ray's Reptile Zoo

The official web site is www.raysreptiles.com
Little Ray's Reptile Zoo has been in operation, traveling to schools in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec, for over 10 years, and has been open to the public for 5 years. This one of a kind, fun and interactive approach to Eco Education has won them acclaim and awards working with children of all ages including the visually impaired, special needs, and autistic children.

The most unique part of the Zoo is that all of the animals are unwanted or discarded animals Ray's is the largest reptile rescue in Canada, assisting the Humane Society and SPCA in rescuing and placing unwanted pet reptiles across the country.

As part of the tour all visitors will have a chance to get up close with some of the residents in an educational hands on information session then head outside (weather permitting) to see a live demonstration of 'Birds of Prey' that will delight all ages. A visit to Ray's is a true educational experience!

Pros

  • The largest reptile rescue in Canada.
  • One of a kind, fun and interactive approach to Eco Education.
  • Unique exprience well worth the drive.

Cons

  • The Zoo is clean and well kept but it's a reptile rescue at heart so every dollar is spent with this in mind, that being said expect a no-frills approach when it comes to the displays.
